As gentle winds blow through somber grass
Warm air stirs and swirls as I breathe the silky air
The soft caress of rising dawn bathes my skin twixt night and day
While emotion stirs from a place I daren’t go
The crisp and bitter crackle of birds chirping rings aloud
The aroma of warming earth fills my nostrils as a smile’s nearly born
Am I sinking in this Heaven, this warm and sweet place
Or am I cracking e’er so softly, as the emerging hatchling in its twiggy nest?
‘Awake, arise, become,’ slides warm across my ears
Like sweet illusion, a mirage just out of reach
‘Emerge, accept, embrace,’ welcomes my heart now to step free
And the smiling voice that wakes me comes in your tender whispering
